Indiana Chapter of the Michigan Antique Phonograph Society
Indiana abounds with Phonograph history. Thomas Edison lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1864 while working for Western Union, from there he moved to Indianapolis for a period of time employed as a telegraph operator. Indiana was the home of several phonograph manufacturers, as well as the home of the cradle of Jazz, Richmond, IN. Here was the famous recording studios and record label, Gennett Records.
